MCA collaborated with US company Sun Africa to construct the park, which is the fourth of seven solar farms being developed by the company in Angola. MCA is leading the construction of the seven solar parks in Angola with a total capacity of 370 MWp, with the remaining plants expected to be operational by the end of the year.
This partnership will be key for the development finalization of Quilemba Solar as well as for the project''s implementation. First Solar PV Plant Comes Online In July 2022, Angola inaugurated its first solar PV plants, developed by a consortium led by Portugal’s MCA Group and the U.S.’s Sun Africa.
